Home Crush: A 100 year old Cottage Made New!

Happy Monday! We are back from a busy week with another ‘Home Crush’ for y’all! This week we’re taking a look at this charming family cottage designed by Maddie Hughes Designs. Recently featured in Southern Living Magazine, this cute little 100 year old home is located in small town, Fredericksburg, Texas. The home captures its original Texas charm with new surprising pieces! Come take a look inside!

This living room is the perfect balance. The mix of antiques, patterns and textures make this room feel so homey and inviting! Our favorite touch has to be, either this original marble fireplace or this modern black light fixture.

Who doesn’t love some shiplap! This, along with the flooring and light fixture are said to be original to the home. The antique island in the center adds such a nice touch, fully bringing the space together. We love the English aesthetic brought into this space!

These candlestick sconces and antique mirror are the perfect combo over this demilune table! Sometimes the simplest details really tie the space together.

The cutest little breakfast room in this country cottage! OBSESSED with this sideboard! An awesome piece that ties in so well with the chairs.

Such a fun pop of pattern on this headboard! The height of it makes for a great statement and compliments the rest of the space so nicely. Love this side table too!

Such a charming country cottage! Don’t you agree? So many beautiful details and finishing touches. Well done!
